1st Saturday: Celebrating Black Excellence

February is Black History Month. To celebrate, The MAX is honoring three black actresses and activists who hail from Mississippi: Juanita Moore, Beah Richards, and Tonea Stewart. Learn more about these women who exemplify black excellence in their lives and art. 1st Saturday discount admission: $5 Adults | $1 Ages 6–17 | Free for 5 and under.

10am–Noon, Make + Take Workshop
1–1:45pm, Actor Juanita Moore Illustrated Talk + Walk of Fame Star Unveiling
2–4pm, Tonea Stewart performs A Black Woman Speaks by Beah Richards

All 1st Saturday events are free with museum admission.
